What’s the difference between Acrylic Single Side Mirror, Double Side Mirror and Two Way Mirror?

Why it call two way mirror?

    The application of two way mirror frequently occur on the movies and news. For example, interrogation room, the police can see the criminal from the darkness, but the criminal can’t see them from the brightness. The key to this is the layer of electroplating metal, it can transmitted and reflected a part of light. For example, we use a flashlight to illuminate a two way mirror at 20% transparency, around 20% of light can through the mirror and the rest is reflected.

    If A stands in a brightness room, he’ll see his face on the mirror because there are plenty of light in the room and a lot of light are reflected. Meanwhile, B is standing in the other side(dark side), due to the low brightness, B can see A clearly, but A can only see his face on the mirror and can’t see B.

Double Side Mirror

    Double side mirror is a mirror no matter from the front or back. There are 2 types of double side mirror in the market. In addition, due to aging adhesives, it may cause the two mirrors to separate.

    The other one is a mirror no matter from the front or back. It’s acrylic sheet electroplating a layer of aluminum, then cover a OPAT or BOPP film.
